I
am Bill Bradley, principal of Bottom Line Communications. I bring to
clients the skills and savvy developed over my successful 30-year
career in corporate communications, public relations, analyst
relations, publishing and marketing communications.
I am a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the PRSA Boston Independent Practitioners Newtork, SBANE (Smaller Business Association of New England) and the direct marketing think-tank Glazer-Kennedy Inner Circle. I'm also listed in the Global Directory of Who's Who.
Prior to founding BLC in
2001, I served as director of worldwide press and analyst relations for
Evidian Inc., the software subsidiary of France’s Groupe Bull, a $4B
international IT firm.
I guided strategic
corporate communications programs and budgets, directed operations in
the U.S. and managed staff in the UK, Northern Europe, France, Germany
and Italy. Previously, he served as director of public relations for Groupe Bull’s entire U.S. operations. While in this position, I negotiated and managed Bull's participation in a software product review published in InformationWeek
that resulted in a feature story so unexpectedly positive that the
company launched an entire advertising and direct marketing campaign
around it.
My corporate
experience also includes management positions with firms involved in
markets such as call center equipment, add-in memory, storage
subsystems, internetworking, desktop-to-data center enterprise
computing, and post-secondary technical education. Showing an early
acumen for aggressive media placements, my accomplishments in this time
period included generating positive media coverage every month -- without exception -- for 5+ years for the call center company, and generating
media coverage of an innovative product launch that surpassed that of
all prior product announcements in this $1B computer company’s 25-year
history.
My agency background
includes serving as senior account supervisor for firms specializing in
Internet start-ups, internetworking gear, communications products, and
publishing/event management companies. I also provided public relations
and marketing communications consulting services to EMC and Data
General as well as organizations in the healthcare, personal
enrichment, non-profit, food service and beauty industries.
My publishing experience
includes serving as managing editor for both consumer and trade
journals. As a freelance writer, photographer and art director, my work
has appeared in Yankee, Gloucester and other publications.
I enjoy tennis in my spare
time, and my wife, Faye, and I enjoy nature photography, wilderness
canoe camping and hiking with our dog Remy, a fabulous Brittany. In
2006 we realized a dream many years in the planning when we completed a
second home in the Adriondack State Park region in upsate New York.
It's right on Upper Saranac Lake, and we spend as much time there as
possible. But with high-speed Internet service, clients get the same
attention as always.
